Here's
an EXTRA clean, very low mileage US model 355 GTS that has
sustained readily repairable collision damage! It's an EZ Fixer, do some work and save thousands!
It is
believed the company insuring this vehicle was unable to
acquire some of the parts necessary to repair it in a timely
manner.
At the time the claim was filed, front bumpers were
10 months on back order. The insurer paid a full settlement to the
owner and avoided an indefinite period for completion of repairs
and uncertain costs (rental car, storage fees) that would have
accrued while the vehicle was idle. The claim was documented as a
"repairable collision".
We have acquired a front
bumper and various other parts that will be needed to repair this
vehicle. They include: front bumper, LF (left front) turn
signal assembly, LF fog lamp, LF side marker, LF shock/coil
assembly, LF upper control arm and front grill with stallion
emblem. These parts will be included with the car at no
extra cost.
It
appears the vehicle had drifted sideways and initially
impacted the lower left front corner. It damaged the front
bumper, the left front suspension and leaned the inner wheel well
inwards approximately 1 inch. The right rear quarter panel
received a moderate and easily repairable dent. Damage was
also sustained to the left rear wheel/ tire and the left rear
upper and lower control arms.
The doors open and close
flawlessly, the gaps and seams are straight and proper.
It
also appears that as it came to rest it struck a low lying tree
branch horizontally across the windshield thereby breaking out the
windshield and striking midway across the left and right
windshield pillars. In the course of the windshield
breaking, there are pricks and punctures that have occurred in the
dash leather from the broken glass and to the steering wheel and
the adjustable leg extension of the driver's seat.
The
leather dash pad can be easily reupholstered, it is simply a
fiberglass shell that can be promptly removed and recovered in
original black leather. The original matching black leather
is available from GAHH Inc. (gahh.com) in Los Angeles, a
manufacturer of original equipment leather for Ferraris. The
The
leather on the leg extender of the driver's seat can also be
easily reupholstered using matching leather from GAHH. The cost
for the matching seat leather is 12 cents per square inch.
The
right side front and rear wheels are scratched. The cost for
refinishing both wheels to a like new standard is approximately
$150 per wheel by any of the following wheel repair specialist:

The
front and rear wheels on the left side will require replacing.
Ernie's Alloys 305-687-0028, sells pristine condition factory
original Speedline wheels taken from 355's that have had
aftermarket replacement wheels installed. The pricing is
$650 for the rear and $600 for the front. (Subject to
